What has happened to Major Eyes and John Parsons?

It has been an interesting couple of months since closing Major Eyes in Concord. After 8 years within the local community it was in no way an easy decision to close the practice as I had forged many trusted relationships in this time. The lease on the shop came to an end and could not be renewed to my satisfaction.  This prompted me to reevaluate the direction of the business and my partnership with Miranda, eventually resulting in the decision to part ways and close the business in January 2015.

In the interim I have been working as a locum in different parts of Sydney. It has been an eye opening experience! I have missed the interaction with my own patients and customers.

I have realised how fortunate I was to have established such a strong rapport and relationship with so many people in the Concord area. While the right opportunity is yet to present itself, I live locally and my long term goal remains to work in the Concord area again in the future.

Due to some difficulties in accessing the Major Eyes database I have been unable to contact you directly. My apologies to any of you who have felt abandoned or let down during this time.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each one of you for trusting me with your eye care. It would give me great pleasure to continue to serve you in the years to come.

My intention is to update this site periodically with my movements and plans, so feel free to bookmark or follow. Alternatively, I can be contacted on eyemanconcord@gmail.com if you wish to keep in touch.

Hope to see you soon, whether on the street or in the chair.
